What is hatha yoga?
Hatha yoga involves breath, body, and mind. These classes consist of moving the body, practicing different poses, also called postures or asanas. In every class, we are finding the breath (pranayama) and sitting in meditation. In Sankrit, the word “hatha” can be translated two ways: as “willful” or “forceful,” or the yoga of activity, and as “sun” (ha) and “moon” (tha), the yoga of balance.
